Extended pedigree

First, just check out that pedigree!!!  We couldn't be more excited to add Gil-galad to our herd.  This boy is a result of a tight linebreeding on Tiger L and he has the conformation, mammary background, and genetics to prove it.  His mother placed 6th in the top ten milkers of 2007 (4th in butterfat and 2nd in protein) and she has won numerous awards in the show ring.  She is continuing her top ten milking streak in 2008 as well.

Gil-galad's paternal grand-dam (Ariel) was also in the top ten milkers in 2007, placing 8th in butterfat production.  Ariel won numerous awards, including GCH and BOB 5 times, BIS, and RGCH in 2006 and many more in 2007 (4 BOB and 6 Best Udder).  Unfortunately, she passed away from cancer in December 2007.

When we chose Gil-galad we were especially impressed with his rear width.  He will be used extensively in our 2009 breeding schedule, so keep an eye out for some beautiful daughters!  Already we can see that his daughters have excellent rear width and superior dairy conformation.
