Celeste was the first doeling out
of Mina’s freshening and our first words were, “Enormous, buck? …Doe!”
And that is how “Tank” came into our life.
Celeste has grown
into her size and is a wide doe with great body capacity (even more than
her mom). Still has Mina’s strong, square-ish frame, but it has
lengthened more as she has become a yearling – that is Cody’s long body
coming to the forefront. We have also found that she will be shorter than
her mother, keeping a truly dwarf stature.
Celeste isn’t
masculine even with her size – she has good overall dairy character with a
solid set of legs, wonderful skin, and nice width throughout. Her rump
could be a little longer, but she still has plenty of room for a capacious
udder. Her first freshening udder has great lateral and rear
attachments. At this point we just want a better medial. Like her mother
and sister, Celeste easily fills the milk pan.
