Extended pedigree

Jonnie has matured to be one of the best does in our herd.  She is a beautiful Tabby  daughter with a long body and refined dairy character.  Jonnie is slightly close at the hocks, which is noticeable only because her udder is so capacious, but her front end looks nice and square.  Jonnie is delicate, lean, and refined, but her ribs are still flat, wide, and well-sprung.  A definite Tabby daughter.

Her udder has excellent attachments – better than “Mina the Milk Truck” – and the medial ligament is to die for.  Her bloodlines include top milk producers - ARMCH Rosasharn Uni 3*D "E" had the top ND score for 305 day milk testing in 2002-2004 and Slinky and Damselfly are also top ND producers.  Her second freshening showed a significant increase in milk production and her attachments remain strong.

There is one thing that we would like to see improve.  Her teats are on the small side so that hand milking is difficult.  She is our only doe who gets the E-Z Milker, but she does a good job at filling it up fast.  During her second freshening her teat size has increased so that hand milking is not too difficult.

Jonnie is also a very sweet doe – as one of the two year olds, she is in the bottom half of the herd’s dominance.  But what a gentle soul she is.
